Refund and cancellation policy
How to stop paying, when we give money back, and how long it takes. Short, because there is not much to it.
The short version
- 15 days free before you pay anything. No card is asked for, so nothing can be charged by accident.
- No auto-renewal. There is no stored card and no mandate. Every payment is a button somebody presses, which means there is no such thing here as a charge you did not expect.
- To cancel, stop paying. No notice, no fee, no form.
- Refunds within 7 days of a payment, in the circumstances below. After that, a term you have started is not usually refundable.
1. Cancelling
Stop paying. That is the whole procedure.
There is no cancellation button in the product and no cancellation form, because there is nothing to cancel — no subscription is running against your card. Your term runs to the date you have already paid for, and then simply ends.
What happens after that date:
- Your workspace stays readable for 7 days, so you can still look things up and call people while you decide.
- After that, sign-in is refused. Your invoices and the support desk stay reachable.
- Nothing is deleted. If you come back and pay, everything is exactly where you left it.
Take your data out before you go — the export routes are listed in the terms. Your retention settings keep running on a dormant workspace, so a workspace left for a year is not an archive.
If you would rather the workspace were closed and its contents erased than left dormant, write to us and we will do it. That request is not reversible, so we will confirm it with you first.
2. When we refund
We would rather not hold money for something you are not using. Within 7 days of a payment, write to us and we will refund it in these cases:
- You were charged twice for the same invoice, or charged the wrong amount. Always refunded in full, and we would like to know even if you have not noticed a problem yet.
- You paid by mistake — the wrong workspace, the wrong invoice, a payment you had already made by bank transfer.
- The service did not work for a material part of what you paid for, and we could not put it right in reasonable time.
- You paid for a fresh term and then decided against it, before making real use of it.
Outside those cases, and after 7 days, a term you have started is not usually refundable. We will still read what you write and use our judgement — this is a policy, not an algorithm, and a fair case put to us honestly tends to get a fair answer.
What we do not do
- No pro-rata refunds for unused time. If you stop mid-term, the term runs to its end and there is no partial credit. There is no proration anywhere in the product, and pretending otherwise would be a promise the software cannot keep.
- No refund or credit on a plan change. Moving between plans does not alter your current expiry date, and the unused part of the old plan is not credited.
- No refund of tax already remitted, where the law does not allow us to reclaim it.
3. How to ask
Write to appsnow.in@gmail.com, from an address on the account, and tell us:
- the invoice number, or the date and amount of the payment;
- what happened.
We reply within 3 working days, and either process the refund or explain why not. We do not ask you to fill in a form, and we will not make you chase it.
4. How a refund is paid, and how long it takes
- Always back to the original payment method. A card refund returns to that card; a UPI payment returns to that account. We cannot redirect a refund elsewhere, and we would be wary of anybody who offered to.
- Refunds are in INR, for the amount received. Any charge your own bank made is between you and them.
- Timing: typically 5 to 7 working days from when we process it, sometimes longer depending on your bank. We send it immediately; the wait after that is not ours to shorten.
- Payments made by bank transfer are refunded by bank transfer, to the account they came from.
5. What a refund does to your subscription
A refund takes back the time it bought.
This is worth stating plainly because it surprises people. When a payment is refunded in full, the invoice returns to unpaid and your expiry date moves back by exactly the term that payment covered — the number of months is recorded on the invoice at the moment it is raised, so it is taken back precisely rather than estimated.
If that puts the date in the past, the workspace lapses and follows the usual read-only-then-locked path. That is the correct outcome of returning the money that paid for the time, and nothing is deleted when it happens.
A partial refund does not move your expiry date automatically — we look at it and agree with you what it should mean.
6. If you disagree with us
Tell us first. Reply to whoever answered you and ask for it to be looked at again; we would rather settle it ourselves than have you raise a chargeback with your bank, which costs us both time and tells us nothing about what went wrong.
If we still cannot agree, the position is as set out in the terms of service: Indian law, and the courts at Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh.
